'Billy's Speed Shear'

It was on Friday 28th August 2015 at Baysham Farm, Baysham, nr Ross on Wye, Herefordshire.

The Happy Goat Company took 3 of the Rudge's billy kids and turned them into sausages, burgers, mince and diced meat. This has been sold to locals and pubs. The Rudge family  raised £10,000 altogether with the speed shearing and a promise auction.

All monies raised will go towards giving two young people the opportunity to spend a season in New Zealand shearing and learning alongside World Record Holder Emily Woodward.   .

Held in memory of Billy Rudge.

We also held a Coffee & Cake Morning at Preston on Wye Village Hall in September and were able to hand over another £235 to go into the Fund.  Our thanks to the very generous folks of Preston!
